Lesson Transcript

  • [00:00 - 00:20] Hello and welcome to the module one of Intro to Privacy and Blockchains. In this lesson we're just going to explore what we are going to go through in this module. So first of all we are going to look at intro and just getting started. So just having your environment set up and just walking you through a bit of basics.

  • [00:21 - 01:03] So then we are going to start with what is a blockchain and how does it work in overall brief principle. Secondly we're going to go through what is mining in blockchain, what is privacy in blockchain and we're also going to explore some interesting concepts around quantum computing, because that's always a threat because most of the things rely on cryptography and there are certain types of cryptography which quantum computing can break and we'll look at how we can already do things like post-quantum cryptography and how we can already use algorithms which are quantum safe.

  • [01:04 - 01:28] So after that we are going to go into a bit of a dive into the current privacy blockchains that are out there such as Zcash, Monero, Dash and there are some mixes for Ethereum. There is something called one-time addresses and stealth addresses and we are going to deep dive into all of them so stay tuned and we'll just dive right in.
